Thank you for your insight. I've haven't seen that quote before, but it resonates as truth. We kid ourselves if we try to pretend there isn't a range of gray in all our lives and moral ambiguity.

I'm at the age where a lot of my friends are becoming "empty nesters" and are realizing what they thought they had doesn't mean very much, they have no idea who they are, and they're kind of lost and searching for what will give the second halves of their lives meaning. I had a really rough first half of my life and now things seem to be falling into place, but doesn't mean I'm not worried about the "baggage."
