My daughter stopped playing Roblox a few years ago, but she also lost her account one time to a scammer. In her case, however, my daughter fell for a deal that was "too good to be true" and voluntarily gave away her contact information thinking she was going to become a moderator (or some such). It certainly sucked at the time to lose all her items and she was devastated. We did try to get Roblox to restore her account and I think we were able to recover some things, but but as a company with a customer base primarily of kids, I felt they could have had significantly more robust protections in place. (Maybe they have gotten better in the last couple years?)

In any case, it has been a good life lesson she's carried forward as she's encountered other scammers and offers "too good to be true."
