I might agree with you if she hadn't taken the next step to get out of her bad marriage. I know several people trapped in marriages that are killing them inside but lack the courage or imagination to do anything about it. No matter what any of us said in our wedding vows, we don't have the obligation to stay miserable our entire lives. We have the right to try to be happy.

I can't directly speak to cheating, but I can attest to the fact that the night-and-day differences between bad and good relationships makes it more-than-worth leaving the former and seeking the latter, even if negotiating the unknown can be something of a crapshoot. I wish you luck in your journey to happiness.
