I googled, asked on Twitter, and asked my friends who know people who have worked there if there have been any Senate staffers — not just from Biden’s office — specifically from the same time as Reade (1993), or from 1972~2008 more generally, or during the Obama administration (2008~2016) who have publically stated they believe Reade’s accusation.

Because there is one thing I know with 99.99% certainty as someone who was molested as a 12-year-old (by two older boys in my neighborhood) is *if* Biden did as Reade claimed, pushed her up against a wall in a Senate building and violated her with his fingers, he would have done similar to other women over the years. And the whisper networks would have been whispering about him.

I am glad one of the conclusions of this article is it is still okay to vote for Biden even if you believe Reade. Everyone should look at the available evidence and come to their own conclusions about her allegation. But let’s be very clear that either Biden or Trump will be the next President. There are no other options or outcomes.
