Based on this response, I think you should absolutely be publishing your own stuff!

Someone or some group is acting as Q (and there are now a couple other "letters" actively involved) so it's not exactly a free-form conspiracy. Which is why I think the "gamification" explanation is one of the best I've seen at understanding what's truly going on. He/she/they is/are as Q is/are acting as (a) DungeonMaster(s). It's Dungeons & Dragons placing them at the center as "heroes" writ large and obscenely.

Also, for at least the last generation, what is known as "conservative media" led by Fox News and radio/Rush Limbaugh (but evolving into new players) has been actively trying to undermine confidence in "mainstream media" to carve out its own space of loyal consumers. My best guess for why it has achieved resonance (at least within the U.S.) is people truly believe they are losing "their" America. And in an existential battle of culture, anything is fair game.

I'll be publishing some follow-up pieces in the coming weeks, but as you said, it is truly scary stuff.
