Agreed with the other comment, strong piece. You do a good job of painting your father as a basically decent guy deep in his racist conditioning. And you’re absolutely correct, Fox News didn’t create but rather reinforces. Reminds me of my grandmother. Towards the end of her life, she attended a predominantly black church, which gave her great comfort. Her entire life she was terrified of black people, which didn’t exactly change with with her church attendance; those were the “good ones!”
